What is ZiffTalk?

ZiffTalk is a "Click-for-Talk" Internet-to-Telephone integrated software platform and service. ZiffTalk enables online businesses to transform web-based visitors into customers by allowing real-time telephone connections from websites, emails, advertising banners, and/or directory listings. ZiffTalk empowers businesses to capture sales at critical 'buy or surf on' points in the Internet environment via live, immediate phone connections.

How does ZiffTalk work?
Subscribers of ZiffTalk receive a 'PhoneLink' upon registration. This 'PhoneLink' is copied and pasted into a business website, email, ad or listing. A visitor sees the 'PhoneLink' icon, clicks on it, and enters their phone number. ZiffTalk connects the visitor's phone line to the business' phone line, and captures all the details of the call and caller in real-time for display in the businesses' ZiffTalk account interface.

Which Industries or Businesses is ZiffTalk suited for?
ZiffTalk is suited for and is being employed in a broad range of industries (see our Clients Page) including real estate, online retail, finance, hospitality, professional services, education, telecom services, web services, and general B2B and B2C services. ZiffTalk is ideal for any business with an online presence offering a product or service the selling of which often requires or is assisted by direct, personal telephone contact.

Does the Prospect/Visitor have to pay for a ZiffTalk phone connection?
No. ZiffTalk phone connections are Toll-Free for the visitor/prospect.

How much are ZiffTalk's Monthly Subscription & Setup Fees for Businesses?
There is No Monthly Subscription fees & No Setup fees for the basic ZiffTalk service - zero, zilch, nada!
It is Free!

What does ZiffTalk's "Pay-For-Performance" pricing model mean?
It means Clients only Pay For the ZiffTalk service when it Performs, that is, only when Prospect/Visitors actually use the service to call the client. In this way, there is zero financial risk to use the service, and direct, instantaneous and perfectly measurable ROI for the service.

What are ZiffTalk's Per-Minute connection Fees?
Your precise per-minute connection fees depend on the total minutes used in any given month. You can find the usage/rate schedule in the Signup Page. Rates for individual independent clients currently range $0.15/minute to $0.12/minute.

How much time does it take to setup my ZiffTalk service?
ZiffTalk clients have registered and been setup with the ZiffTalk service in their websites in less than 5 minutes!

Do I need to install software or hardware to make ZiffTalk work?
No. ZiffTalk's revolutionary platform is totally hosted, so you need not install any software or hardware, so have no future worries with respect to maintenance or service.

What skills do I need to have in order to setup the ZiffTalk service in my website?
You only need know how to 'cut and paste', and how to place some HTML code into your website where you want.

What skills do I need to have to utilize the ZiffTalk service in my email marketing campaigns?
All you need to know is how to 'cut and paste' your unique 'PhoneLink' hyperlink from our email or interface into your outgoing emails.

How can I use this HTML hyperlink information in email?
There are multiple ways to use the hyperlink information in your email:
1. You can cut and paste the hyperlink as is into your outgoing email.
2. You can copy hyperlink information into your email signature.
3. You can insert hyperlink information in any text or image in your email.

What is my PhoneLink?
Your Phonelink is a unique HTML hyperlink code that the ZiffTalk system generates for you when you register that you place into your web site, or in your email, or on your banner ads or directory listings. It enables you to receive live phone calls into your business' phone number directly from your Internet-based prospects.

How can I set my Availability & Scheduling Controls?
As a subscriber to our Enhanced plan, you can set a weekly Schedule for your PhoneLink to be actively accepting calls, and can manually control your Availability. You can do this through the Availability section in your ZiffTalk Client Web Interface.

I signed up and setup my PhoneLink - How do I enable it so I can begin receiving calls?
First, make sure you set your Availability to "On" in your Client Web Interface. Then make sure, if you have set a weekly Schedule that you are currently within your hours of operation. Next make sure you have made an initial deposit into your account to cover your future minutely fees. If your ZiffTalk service PhoneLink still is not working, please contact us at support@zifftalk.com or 925-469-9600.

Can I change the phone number assigned to my PhoneLink?
Yes. You can change the phone number assigned in a PhoneLink real-time from the ZiffTalk Client Web Interface. Once you make the change, it is effective immediately and you do not require any downtime.

Do I have to change the HTML hyperlink information if I change the phone number in a PhoneLink?
No. The ZiffTalk system automatically does this for you.

How many Phonelinks can I define?
You can define one (1) PhoneLink with the Basic plan, ten (10) with the Enhanced plan, and an unlimited amount of PhoneLinks with our Premier plan.

Can I Change the default PhoneLink button icon?
Yes. ZiffTalk offers a gallery of PhoneLink button icon options that you can choose from. Any change in the button icon does require a minor change in your PhoneLink HTML code. The gallery options and the corresponding HTML code can be found in your Client Web Interface.

Can I customize my ZiffTalk popup window?
Yes. With the Premier plan subscription, your ZiffTalk PhoneLink's pop-up window can be customized to suit your needs directly from within your Client Web Interface. You can upload your own image/logo and text, and preview the effect before going live.

What information do you store about the web visitor?
When a web visitor uses ZiffTalk Service, we report date and time of the call, the call duration, visitor phone number, their IP address, the PhoneLink the call was made through, and web page URL from where the call was initiated. With our Premier plan, you also have the option to choose to view caller name and email address. All this information can be viewed in your ZiffTalk Client Web Interface in real-time.

Can I get reports of my ZiffTalk call activity?
Yes, all the call information listed in the FAQ immediately above can be view real-time in your Client Web Interface. The display of the reporting log can be targeted specifically to match your search parameters, and you can save any of your reports into an Excel spreadsheet.

Simply make a deposit using any major credit or debit card to your ZiffTalk account from within your Client Web Interface. ZiffTalk will automatically deduct your connection fees when you receive calls through the service.

Can I set a Monthly Budget?
Yes. You can set a monthly budget that you are willing to spend through the ZiffTalk service by entering that budget amount into the Client Web Interface.

Do monthly deposits carryover into subsequent months if I do not use it all in one month?
Yes. Any deposits made into your account are valid indefinitely towards ZiffTalk call minutes.

How can I earn bonus Free Minutes for my ZiffTalk account?
You can earn bonus Free Minutes if your monthly call minutes exceed certain thresholds. For example, if your total monthly minutes used reaches 3,500 this month, your account would be eligible to receive 333 free minutes for the subsequent month.

What is Auto-Refresh?
The auto-refresh function ensures that your ZiffTalk service will never be temporarily disconnected. It authorizes ZiffTalk to automatically top off your account balance with your prescribed deposit amount whenever your balance runs below the minimum threshold.

Can I see a history of my deposits and transaction activity?
Yes. You can see a full real-time deposit and transaction history for your account at anytime within your Client Web Interface.

Can I cancel this service anytime?
Yes. There is no long-term contract. You simply pay us as you go. You can cancel ZiffTalk Service anytime.
